Life for students at Muting'ong'o Primary School was difficult in the past. They spent too much time away from their school campus, missing valuable learning time searching for and collecting water. It left them exhausted and behind academically.
"I used to waste so much time going to fetch water for [the] school. I didn’t have enough time to read, which led to dropping in my studies," said 13-year-old Lynne V.
But since we installed a high-capacity rain tank last year, things have been different for Lynne and her fellow students.
"I no longer go too far to the spring to fetch water for [the] school," said Lynne.
With more time spent in class at school learning, students are seeing positive changes.
"Since I have enough time to read and also do my homework. I have greatly improved in my schoolwork," concluded Lynne.
