Mohammed Sankoh, 45, recalled what life was like in Masoro before his community's well was implemented last year.
"[For] so many years in this village, we were struggling a lot in this village because our children and women had to go all the way to swamps just [to] find a place where they can get water for our domestics use. The water was so reddish, and sometimes it appeared to be brown in color. Moreover, so many sicknesses like cholera, diarrhea, and dysentery were affecting us in this village, which led to the loss of many lives," Mohammed said.
But life is much healthier and more hopeful for Mohammed and the other community members in Masoro now.
"Now, we want to thank God for bringing you to our aid for providing safe drinking water in this village, which has impacted our lives so much that there are no [more] sicknesses like cholera, diarrhea, and dysentery," said Mohammed.
Having ready access to water from the well has made a difference for Mohammed, allowing him to celebrate his community's good health.
"We're very happy now because we have safe drinking water, which has helped us to have good health," Mohammed concluded.
Thank you for helping Mohammed access clean water and have more hope for the future.
Right now, there are others just like him in neighboring communities that desperately need safe water access. Your support will immediately go to work to provide a clean water project - and we can't wait to introduce you to the next person you'll help.
