Accessible water gives Isatu time to study!

Isatu, 17, recalled what life was like in the Tintafor Community before her community's well was rehabilitated last year.

"Before, I used to suffer to fetch water. I [would] wake up early to go in search of water in the community. It was hard to do, especially when I had a lot of buckets to fetch. There are times [when] the source we used to fetch water from became dry. All this made me suffer," said Isatu.

Collecting water is now simpler for Isatu and the other community members and students in Tintafor.

"Now that we have [a] water well, I can fetch enough water to wash the dirty plates and spoons. Also, I am able to fetch water on time before going to school. This alone is a blessing to me," continued Isatu.

Having ready access to water from the well has made a difference for Isatu, allowing her to collect water whenever she needs it so she can use her time and energy to focus on other important things.

"The water well has helped me to do all my work at home on time. This has made me have enough time to rest and read my notes," said Isatu.
