A year ago, your generous donation helped Mukoko Community in Kenya access clean water – creating a life-changing moment for Ramsey. Thank you!

Giving Update: Mukoko Community, Mshimuli Spring

"Before this project was completed, it was hard for children to get water from the unprotected spring since we had a risk of falling into the water. This is because the place was open."

"Another challenge was that after taking dirty water home, sometimes our parents would feel annoyed and send you back to try and get clean water. Most children feared to get water from the unprotected spring."

"Right now, our lives as children have been impacted positively since the water which comes through the pipe is easier to fetch. Another advantage is about cleanliness since we can now get clean water."

"This water point has helped me achieve so much. I am able to attend school regularly, unlike before, when I used to fall sick more often and miss school. This really affected my performance - I used not to perform well."

"Again, helping parents at home was a problem since one could spend so much time at the water point trying to wait for the water to settle down before getting clean water and this really wasted time. Since this spring was protected, the water is clean, I am able to take less time to go and fetch then come back home and do my homework."

"The clean water has helped us achieve high standards of hygiene and sanitation. Life has become good."
