There are so many reasons why I want to start this fundraising...
It does hurt me when I see the ignorance in our community while there other communities, people who are just like us living on planet Earth, suffer to have their minimum human rights..or any living thing rights.. to drink safe healthy water.
Many people don't know that there are +70 million people around that world don't have access to safe drinking water, millions of people die from water-related diseases, more than people who die from cancer or smoking... millions of women and young girls have to walk hundreds of kilometers.. skipping schools and leaving education just to carry 10 killos of water over their heads to their families. For them, the day they start having a water-well in their village is like the biggest achievement and celebration.
These are facts and numbers that we may hear and read every now and then ..but we do little about it... its time to do something..even if its a small thing its better than nothing.
Help me in my very first fundraising initiative , don't close the page, don't be lazy .. It's the small little things that we do that can make a big difference in a human being life.
Sincerely,
Aida

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
