Help Fund a Water Project
With your
help, I’d like to raise funds for The Water Project, a charity dedicated to
providing clean, safe water in underdeveloped countries, where 100% of our
donations will go towards in-the-field water well construction. The goal is to
raise $7,000.00 – the amount it takes to build/digg one shallow well in Africa.
You can read more about the organization, and why it’s such a great and
worthwhile cause on this site – but here are some highlights/alarming statistics
of water scarcity:
in 8 people worldwide do not have access to safe and clean drinking water.
1 out of every 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide is due to a
water-related disease.
of the world's hospital beds are filled with people suffering from a
water-related disease.
a billion, 884 million people do not have access to clean and safe water.
37% of those people live in Sub-Saharan Africa.
million school days are lost to children each year due to water-related
diseases and over half of the developing world’s primary schools do not
have access to water and sanitation facilities.
We are fortunate enough to always have clean, running water
readily available at all times, but the global picture is very different. Water
is scarce, and while we waste it and take it for granted, others aren’t as
lucky. I hope together we can make a small difference and help the lives of
those in need!

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
