1,000,000,000 of our brothers and sisters in the world do not have clean water. 300,000,000 of them are in Africa. 80% of infectious diseases in developing countries are caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. Worldwide, 1 of every 5 deaths in children under 5 is due to a water related disease. 3,400,000 people will die this year alone because of waterborne illnesses. Searching the for water can be a dangerous mission and because it is often the job of the women to find water, this keeps girls out of school. Water is an essential key to ending hunger, breaking the poverty cycle, education, women's advancement, and so much more.
The Water Project is doing the best it can to be the solution. Through charitable donations they are able to provide villages with the means to a better life by giving them the gift of clean water. The people are provided with education on the knowledge we take for granted such as the hygienic purposes of hand-washing and basic sanitation. The people are trained on how to maintain their own well, eliminating furtherĀ dependence on charity for survival. This means that the people are not just provided with water for a day, but water and hope for a lifetime. We want to be a part in changing lives for the better, and we hope you feel the same way!Date | Donor | Amount | Message |

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
