The African people suffer needlessly from things in which they can not control. They have a basic right to living healthy lives, beginning with the assurance of having the clean water they need so desperately in order to be confident, healthy, and self-sufficient. From a human perspective, can we not see that although us Westerners are afflicted with our own issues, at least we have the luxury of clean water to ensure a somewhat healthy life. We have much vaster access to clean water, while the African people are often restricted by outside sources on how much water they can use, often walking miles just to quench their thirst. They often drink dirty water because they might not even have an option for clean water. This contaminated water carries more deadly and parasitic diseases than we can even fathom, in which they live with daily. We have been born into our lives, as they have been born into their own. They do not deserve this suffering. They are human beings who need help from privileged people like us. It is not about pacifying our consciences, but about living lives of authentic love in which our reward is the knowledge that we are in some way easing the suffering of the powerless. Through this program they are taking measures to install stable clean water systems with our donations, educating the people o how to live sanitary lives, and teaching them how to maintain this vital clean water resource. We are teaching a powerless people how to become humbly powerful beginning at the most basic level of ensuring their physical health. Once we have empowered the powerless, they can begin to heal their wounds, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Once we have helped them secure a physical health, then they can begin to dream as we dream, and aspire for great and beautiful contributions to society.

I made the donation goal low so that people will be encouraged to donate any thing they have. I am not asking you to suffer as much as the absolutely impoverished Africans by giving away more than you can afford, but I am asking to care, and to help in any way you are able to. They deserve our love, they deserve the right to live.
