In February of this year I, along with 20 other classmates, attended the Camden Conference where we listened to some political figures from Africa talk about their countries and the 'Rise of Africa.' Some of the speakers included; Ofeibea Quist-Arcton, a correspondent for NPR News, Djimé Adoum who is Executive Secretary of the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in Sahel, Ali Mufuruki who confounded the African Leadership Initiative, and Kah Walla who was the first woman to run in the presidential election of Cameroon and in listening to theses amazing people talk I decided to start a campaign.
Everyday children are not receiving the education they need because they have to travel down long dirt roads only to find dirty and unsanitary water to drink, cook, and clean with. Every $34 donated gives one person clean and safe water for the rest of their lives. I hope you'll consider joining me to fund this water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa!
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that in the long run makes them sick. You and I can change that.Thank you so much for donating to this great cause and making a difference!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
