Some of
my favorite musicians have been fundraising through the work that they love, so
I thought I could do the same through my love of hockey.
On Labor
Day, September 5th, 2011 I will be skating 50 miles to create awareness for the
basic need of clean drinking water to sustain the lives of real people in a community
in Africa. My teammates will also be skating throughout the day for their SkateForWater sponsors also.
I am
asking you to join us in raising the funds to build at least 2 wells that we can
track by GPS map and see develop into a reality that will affect a community for
a lifetime.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
