Our bodies are approximately 98% water. Next to oxygen, water is the most important need for your survival. It has been proven that we can exist without food for many days, but we cannot last long without water.

WATER is a necessary part of your physical fitness training.

Everyday, athletes around the world consume liquids to ensure they can perform at their peak. Great athletes know how much they require, what they need, and when they need it. All athletes must drink water before, during, and after exercise. Follow the basic guidelines below to be sure that a child is drinking enough water throughout an exercise session.

  • Before Exercise: Drink 10 to 14 oz. of cold water 1 to 2 hours before the activity. Drink 3-6 oz.of cold water or diluted fruit juice 15 to 20 minutes before the activity.

  • During Exercise: Drink 3 to 4 oz. of cold water every 15 minutes.

  • After Exercise: Drink 2 cups (16 oz.) of cold water for every pound of weight loss. With no weight loss still drink the minimum of 8oz of water.

  •

WATER is a necessary ingredient for your health.

While athletes strive to perform at their peak through proper nutrition, training, psycholgy, and more, it is important to remember that without water nothing would be possible. It is even more important to remember that while we train our bodies, nearly 1 billion people suffer needlessly without access to safe, clean water. One in four children who die before age 5 worldwide, die of a water related disease. Children often walk miles every day to collect dirty water to drink.

    WATER can make a difference!

As you work out at The Training Löfte this year, enjoy your drinks on the house-- Free! Gourmet coffees, teas, energy drinks, and water will be provided so that you may enjoy your workouts, perform your best, or simply relax. All that we ask is that you consider a $0.50 donation per drink. While The Training Löfte is happy to provide the drinks for free, we recognize that with your help, we can provide more than the liquids needed for our bodies to be fit and our athletes to be strong, we can provide sustainability to villages around the world.

The Training Löfte is sponsoring a Water Project.

Water projects can provide water for 1 person for over 10 years for only $10! All of the money collected from your drinks this year will be donated to our Water Project. So get a drink, feel refreshed, and feel good knowing that this year, for only pocket change, you will help sustain over 100 people for the next 10 years, with clean, refreshing, and life-giving water.

    Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

    About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
