Hello, we are Ames and Henry, students at Center for Inquiry 27 in Indianapolis. We are doing our 5th grade exhibition projects right now - Ames is researching the lack of accessibility to clean water in Africa, and Henry’s topic is “The Effect of Dirty Water on Children in Africa.” We teamed up to start a fundraiser for The Water Project so wells can be built in Africa. According to TheWaterProject.org, “Only 16% of Sub-Shaharan Africa have access to drinking water through a household connection.” According to USAID.gov, “Most of the areas water points are dry, and some people have to walk 25 kilometers to collect water.”

If you like filling up your water glass every day with cold water, please consider donating - any amount helps.

What a great topic to research and I’m proud of you for trying to DO something for those impacted by it! In fact, it reminds me of a few water (pollution) science experiments we did in pre-k ;)

After spending some time in Liberia this year, we have seen the water concerns first-hand. One problem with the wells that have been built is that they become contaminated for different reasons -- h

How this works

Dirty water impacts health, education, women, and income. Providing a reliable and safe water source allows communities to thrive.

The Water Project provides access to safe and reliable water across sub-Saharan Africa. Together, our support can end the water crisis and restore hope, one community at a time.

The coolest part? We'll all get to see our impact! Every gift is directly linked to a specific water project and community. We'll receive updates including photos and stories, maps and more!

Lives change when communities gain access to clean water. Let's experience it together. Make a donation to my fundraising campaign today!
