My name is Deshanie Govender. I am a third year medical student. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. When I was a sophomore in high school, I raise funds to build a water well in Rwanda. Link to past project: https://thewaterproject.org/community/profile/deshanie-govender. Now more than ever, countries in Africa need safe drinking water to help combat the spread of Covid-19. Clean hands require soap and clean water. This is crucial in protecting rural communities and vulnerable populations in Africa.
844 million people do not have access to clean and safe water. 37% of those people live in Sub-Saharan Africa. A basic necessity such as clean drinking water should be available to everyone. I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project and help me give back to my roots.
With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.
