Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support to the underserved through established programs in local communities throughout the world. One issue the Sorority is deeply concerned about is access to clean drinking water in underdeveloped nations. According to the World Health Organization, more than 2.6 billion people-half the developing world lack access to an improved water source. Without clean and safe water, millions of people will become infected and/or die every year. The members of the IAIC of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter envision a world where all people have access to clean and safe water. In order to ensure the success we are asking for your support by donating any amount towards our goal.

We thank you in advance for your support!

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
