Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.
Fundraiser

Hey guys, recently our youth group at Bryant Street Baptist undertook an endeavor to make a difference in the world around us.

We
posed a seemingly simple question to our Jr. High and High School Students: When you look at the world around you what is it that breaks your heart?
We got bunch of different responses: loss, homelessness, domestic abuse, orphans, broken families, the hungry, the sick, the thirsty.

Our next question was more complicated. How do you fix it?

How can we as Followers of Christ make a difference in the brokenness that surrounds us?

So we started the Nehemiah Projekt.

We started with
prayer, and then just as Nehemiah we progressed to action.
Over the next year our students will
undertake multiple projects to serve the broken communities around us that that they feel breaks the heart of Christ. To shore up the wall so to speak. Some will be fundraising for homeless shelters, others will simply donate their
time at soup kitchens, and orphanages, we'll babysit for single parents, and do whatever is in our power to not just sit idly by.

One group in particular wants to provide clean
water for those who don't have it. We're partnering with The Water Project to
do just that. Our Goal is to raise $5,000. This will provide at least 51%
of the needed construction funding. The water project will in turn match our
gift with others to complete the project and to monitor and maintain it for a
minimum of 5 years.

Here's what we need:

Prayer- Pray that our students will find a passion for serving the world around them. Prayer- Pray that we find donors who can realize the need for clean water in Africa Support- Want to help? We'd love to visit your schools, churches, and communities. Donation- If we can find 1,000 people to give $5 we're there. Your Children :) - Come drop off your kids on August 13th for our first Date Night Daycare. We want to support your marriage, and we know an important part of that is intentionally spending time with your spouse. That can be hard to do with children. So Once a month we are going to hold a Date Night Daycare at Bryant Street Baptist in Yucaipa Ca. On August 13th from 4pm - 10pm we will be watching your children, providing dinner, activities, and entertainment so that you and your spouse can go on a date. Cost is $30 for all of your kids. or if you only want to get away for a few hours $5 an hour. *All of our Adult Leaders have been livescanned for childcare. *All Proceeds will go to our Water Project Fund. Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
