My name is Maggie Amacher, and I am an 8th grader in Ohio. For a language arts project, we have been given every Friday to research something that we are passionate about and then DO something. However, this isn't for just a school project; it's for the greater good.
I am blessed to have clean, running water. There are so many families throughout the world that are deprived of clean water, so many have lost loved ones because of the bacteria in their drinking water. No human should ever have to think twice about cleanliness before taking a sip of water. No human should ever have to walk miles a day to provide clean water for their families.
I believe that with a little help I can raise money to provide a pump for families in need. It may be difficult, but I have the determination, the encouragement, and the power to make a change.
