While waiting in line at Starbucks, I read the label of the Ethos water bottles. For every $1.80 bottle of Ethos water, $0.50 is donated to provide safe drinking water and education to children in need. While I do agree with the need to increase awareness and donations to clean and safe water sources in developing countries, we could be more effective in our donations. Why only donate a mere $0.50, when we can get safe drinking water for free, and donate the full amount we would have spend on bottled water to this great cause.
Most of us fail to appreciate how accessible clean water is. Read more about the water crisis to see how a large part of the world still lives and dies from water scarcity and lack of clean water.

I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
