Campaign for Water in the name of my late Granddad

My late Granddad, Abderrahmane Boucherit, May God have mercy on his soul, was a special person that always did good for others. I hope you can all join me in continuing his legacy and granting him and ourselves Sadaqa Jariah by helping to fund this water project.

How The Water Project Works:

This charity provides clean, safe and reliable water to a chosen community in Sub Saharan Africa.

WHAT we do
THE WATER PROJECT is a 501(c)3
nonprofit who unlocks potential by providing water
and sanitation systems in sub-Saharan Africa. We
provide training, guidance and financial support
for water project construction through implementing
partners in Uganda, Sierra Leone and Kenya. We
help communities dig wells, construct small subsurface dams, catch the rain, protect fresh-water
springs, filter surface water, and maintain proper
sanitation and hygiene practices.
Your support enables robust community
mobilization, careful project construction and
rigorous long-term follow up and evaluation.

HOW we do it
THE WATER PROJECT carefully selects
implementing partners who have long term
relationships and commitments to the people they
serve. Whenever possible, we expect the work we
fund to be carried out by indigenous staff guided by
local leadership. Through this partnership, our team
engages and educates communities and installs (or
repairs) the water project.
Once the project is handed over to the community,
we continue to monitor these projects, and work with
our partners and external support to make sure water
service continues for the communities you’ve helped.
