Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.
Fundraiser

In our preschool class the students put a pebble into a jar when we 'catch' them making good choices. A child may help his friend or wait patiently or name a feeling he is having. These are all behaviors we want repeated and the simple act of getting to put a pebble into a jar makes the children feel special. It is a powerful incentive in itself but I thought we could turn it into building something for someone else. So we are now going to have the children put donated change into a counting bank when they exhibit positive behaviors. We will then donate the coins to The Water Project to fund a well. Not only will this give immediate reinforcement for positive choices it will in the long term give the students an opportunity to learn and practice altruism.

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
