"Satisfied Thirst" was founded by two young High School girls. At the age of 17, God put "water" on our hearts. We weren't sure exactly where He would lead us, but we were ready to follow! We started researching the need for water and the impact it could have. The Water Project taught us the importance of what we are doing. We started out having Car Washes and Yard Sales! At first, we remember being seriously concerned that we were taking on such a huge goal. It almost seemed impossible. Some people would laugh when we told them that two High School girls expected to raise over $12,000! In our hearts we knew that God asked us to do this... and in His perfect timing... it would happen! We got our entire community involved. We have been so humbled and blessed by our loyal supporters and volunteers! We have been overwhelmed by the love and encouragement we have received throughout this entire journey. We ask that you give not out of just pity for those in need, or a temporary emotion that our words may provoke.... or because anyone will know. Please pray and consider the impact before making a donation for our cause. We appreciate your continual prayers and support! Ultimately, we want to glorify God and serve these people!

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.


About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
