I spent a lot of time searching for an organization that I believe in, and which would make the most impact to the most people. That's what led me to The Water Project.
Today, too many people suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. Clean water is the first step to providing these African communities with better education, proper sanitation, reduced crime, decreased mortality rates, and an overall better quality of life. In particular, women and children are at the highest risk of being affected by the lack of clean water. Please take a look at the pictures, videos and stories shared on The Water Project's website. I think you will find them just as inspirational as I have. Together, we can make an immediate and direct impact on the lives of people living in these villages.
This is my first attempt at fundraising and I am excited to see this donation campaign come to fruition. I plan on many more events, so please stay tuned. And, of most importance, please consider supporting this great organization with a donation and then help me spread the word!
