Today, too many children and adults suffer from lack of access to clean water - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. I want to help change that. The Water Project is a non-profit Christian organization that has a mission to build wells and water filtration systems in communities that need them most. By having access to clean water, illness inflicted by dirty water is reduced and children spend less of their days being sick and more days in school! This also frees up valuable time for mothers to spend on their family and work. It's a win all around!
It's hard to imagine hiking miles just to access contaminated water. Many of us can easily fill up a water bottle or turn on a faucet to brush our teeth, but others don't have that luxury. This project is a small way to give back and remind us to be grateful for the life we've been blessed with.
