Fundraiser

GARBAGE GOLF! “Course of Causes ” is a charity fundraising 18+ hole mini golf course with public art sculptures (made from recycled materials) being the obstacles on the course. Corydon Central Junior High School art students have been working vigorously on this recycling & sustainability unit in time for Earth Day 2012. In addition to recycling, each golf hole supports a different student selected cause spanning from local to global including:

ASPCA, Breast Cancer Awareness, Corydon Humane Society, Disability Awareness, Drug Abuse Awareness, Endangered Arctic Animals, Ending Homelessness, Imagination Endangerment, Kosair Children's Hospital, Monarch Migration Endangerment, Muscular Dystrophy, Pit Bull Awareness, Protect the Eagles, Rachel's Challenge, Save the Gorillas, Save the Tigers, Stop Diabetes, Spina Bifida Awareness, Suicide Prevention, Wildlife in Need (WIN), The Water Project

A suggested donation of $2 for students and $5 for adults (5 yrs and under are free!) will allow you to play this crafty course, visit the student cause education stations, help many great causes and have a lot of fun! There will also be raffles and a silent auction of crafts and community donated items at some student booths.

Putters are borrowed from Golf Shores through a business- school partnership; turf was donated to us by the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee and cardboard is from Corydon Tractor Supply. All other supplies were made possible through McDonald’s (MAC) Making Activities Count Grant.

*All money raised will go to your choice of the student selected causes above.*

Please come support the CCJHS art students and help make this student service learning project a success! OR DONATE HERE ONLINE TO SUPPORT THIS UNIQUE PROJECT & AWESOME ORGANIZATION!

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
