Water Crisis
Affecting today & tomorrow
TodayWater. Water is not only one of the most important things that we need to survive it’s also the hardest to acquire, more than 800 million people do not have access to clean water that’s almost 1/7.5 people in the world who go home everyday to unsanitized water, 2.3 billion people in the world don’t have access to a sanitary toilet and 33% of schools don’t have clean water according to wateraid.com, every 90 seconds a child dies of a water related disease there is clearly a distinct problem that millions if not billion of people have to suffer through every single day. Not only are these effects occurring in 3rd world countries but here in the United States. Flint, Michigan has been without clean water for almost 4 years and they still haven’t received the help they need to get new led pipes and depend on bottled water to do many of the things we take for granted.
TomorrowBy 2020 about 20-30% of the world will have water scarcity, and climate change could further speed up this terrifying problem. By 2050, 1 in 5 developing countries will face water shortages, Water is generally projected to grow by 55% by 2050. A NASA run study shows that the world’s freshwater are being drained faster than it’s being replenished
