This year I am graduating from Middletown High School with a pathway in natural resources and environmental science. For my senior project I chose to write a research paper on the importance of having clean water in developing countries. What I found during my research appalled me and although I can't change the world, I'd like to be able to help change a few people's lives.
In many communities they must choose to either send their children to get unsanitary water from miles away or send them to school. It is said that in developing countries, as much as 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. Unfortunately, many children die from preventable diseases because their bodies do not have the nourishment and hydration needed to fight through the illness.
I hope you'll consider joining me to help The Water Project. With your gifts they can provide clean, safe, and accessible water to people in need. If my goal is met then 10 people will receive guaranteed access to clean water for a full year.
