I hope you'll consider joining my class to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.
With your help my students will be able to provide funds to a community in Africa so that a well can be built. My students are learning about the Water Cycle in class and have really taken an interest in the Water Cycle Crisis. This fundraiser idea started as a small seed as my students' were looking for ways to help and has grown tremendously in the last couple of weeks in the hearts of my students.
We appreciate any donations whatsoever! We only ask that you commit to the Water Challenge. This means that you commit to drink only water (no bottled water) for two weeks and donate your savings to our Water Crisis Campaign. With this money we will be able to engage in a service learning project that will not only help others but strengthen students' academic knowledge and build character. This will be a memorable experience for my students that they will cherish for a lifetime! If we reach our goal we will be given pictures and gps coordinates of the village that we helped which will truly be such a rewarding experience!
Here is a peek into some of the water cycle work we have been doing in our classroom:
|12/28/16||Bethel Elementary School||$422.16|
|10/04/16||Amanda Watson||$34.00||So proud of you Miss Otey and your sweet students! Best wishes as you raise money for this special cause!! Xoxo|
|09/27/16||Ashley Bowers||$35.29||Great project! We rarely appreciate how the availability of clean, inexpensive running water affects our lives.|
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
