MISSION:

Pleasant Kids mission is to educate and make the consumption of drinking pure PH alkalized water fun!!! 

Studies have proven that 64% of our children suffer from dehydration. And that a child requires a consumption of 1.5 liter's of pure water daily. After good nights sleep, the first thing in morning a child should do is consume 8oz of pure water. people who are well hydrated function better mentally and physically and are less susceptible to disease and dehydration-related issues.

WHY WATER IS IMPORTANT FOR KIDS.

The essential vital nutrient for all living organisms is water. Usually water makes up 70% of a child's body. For a child's adequate mental, physical growth, each cell depends on water to function normally. Water helps transport nutrients and oxygen to cells, regulate temperature and maintain sodium balance. Recommended water intake can help burn stored fat, prevent and or reduce problems with constipation and urinary tract infections, improve weight loss and skin tone, and remove and flush out toxins from your body. ***IMPORTANT FACT***

The number one source of calories in the U.S. comes from high fructose corn syrup primarily in form of soda. Americans drink average of one gallon of soda a week, and this excessive fructose consumption is main contributing factor to obesity. A cost efficient strategy to fight obesity and chronic disease is to replace all sodas, and other sweet or artificial beverages with pure drinking water.

IMPROVES SCHOOL PERFORMANCE:

Drinking water can increase your child's cognitive development. In order for the brain to function at optimum levels it needs oxygen. Consuming the daily recommended water ensures that your child's brain gets the oxygen it needs and can improve levels of cognitive performance by as much as 30%, as well as the proper support of nerve function that relays messages to the brain.

When a child becomes dehydrated they are less likely to concentrate and perform at their full potential. Studies have reveled that water influences and boosts academic performance. Researchers showed that students that consumed water during class exams did better then those who did not. It has been advised for children and adolescents to always carry a water bottle.

BETTER PERFORMANCE AT SPORTS:

For most children engaging in routine physical activity pure water is primary beverage choice. When not enough fluids are taken in by a child. They are less compelled to exert their full potential physically, and in some cases they are unable to exert at all.

Drinking water also helps keep their joints strong, healthy and lubricated. Joints need moisture to remain strong and flexible, so movements are smooth and not painful.

When athletes sweat, they lose water from both inside and outside cells. 

With a child who is well-hydrated, the proper oxygen is distributed to the cells, which improves the strength and helps build their muscles. This enables their muscles to work harder and longer without fatigue. Therefore, children who are even mildly dehydrated would not be able to sustain performance for long periods of time. 

*** IMPORTANT FACT*** According to a clinical report, from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) majority of children and adolescents do not need sports drinks. Although there are many other fluids available for drinking such as carbonated soft drinks, enhanced energy drink and fruit juices, water should be the only choice. At Pleasant Kids, we take our children's health into consideration and hope the information provided will educate and encourage them to consume more pure clean water. 

 This is the key in preventing dehydration, obesity, constipation and other health issues. The appropriate consumption of pure water will help the improvement in mental and physical functions, optimum brain activity, healthy sufficient body growth and to contribute to provide more energy and a better life all around.

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
