Help Fund a Water Project
Our daughter, Reed, who is a big fan of The Lion King, decided she wanted to have an African-themed birthday dinner for her 7th birthday in January. This theme sparked a family discussion about Africa, and I mentioned to Reed that Africa was a beautiful place, but that there was widespread poverty across the continent. Reed, of course, wanted to know if she could ask her friends and family to donate money for her birthday to assist people in Africa. How could I say no to such a request?
After researching several charities that provide assistance in Africa, we decided that supporting The Water Project would be a great way to provide much-needed aid to the people of Africa, as well as a great way for our friends and family to honor our sweet, thoughtful and kind girl.
Reed would love for everyone to donate just a few dollars in honor of her 7th birthday to The Water Project, which assists in providing clean water to communities in Africa. Please read more about all the ways in which providing clean water assists these communities on www.the waterproject.org.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
