Hi! This page has been created by Global Geography 12 students at Sackville High School in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada. We have decided to take on the challenge of putting ourselves in the shoes of men, women, and children across our world in developing nations who live a much different life than we do. To do this, we are gathering students from our high school and feeder schools and together we will walk 6 km carrying buckets of water on our heads. This is the average distance many children have to walk every day to gain access to water, much of which is not safe for consumption. This is going to promote awareness throughout our community about a global crisis millions of people are facing everyday. We all plan to wear blue to make ourselves stand out as we hold our Water Walk to have the community recognize our call to action and passion for creating change in the world. Any donations would be much appreciated in reaching our $2500 goal going toward ending one of the 21st century's biggest challenges; the world's water crisis.
Thank you so much for your support!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
