Sasha's Campaign for Water in Kenya

I hope you'll consider joining my 12th birthday effort to fund a water project in Kenya. With your gifts and your help, rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.

As some of you may remember from last year, we donated money to a struggling and poorest village in Samburu, Kenya. We could see that our contribution really made a difference. We fed this village for several months. This year, I got an idea of participating in building a water well in Kenya. I wanted to continue supporting people in Kenya, following on from last year, when I saw how much our help meant to them, how happy the children and even the adults were. Seeing their joy made me really happy. I know from our safari driver they still talk about it every time they see him, and they are very grateful to us.

I decided to help construct a water well or water source, with a long-lasting beneficial purpose. Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. The thought of children walking long distances daily, often across dangerous and wild landscape, under the frying sun just to get some dirty, contaminated water to drink is really bothering me.
