Imagine having to walk miles to get one bucket of water for your entire family to share each day? Imagine that the water you spent hours to get while walking in torn shoes under the scorching African sun, and on an unpaved road at times wasn't even clean? Its contaminated.
Now you are left with one of two choices. Either you don't drink water at all which is impossible for any living being or you run the risk of dying from an infection from drinking contaminated water. My fellow classmates, teachers, and community members. We can help to create change while working with the water project one community at a time. I have generous donors who have promised to do a match for every dollar our school raises towards this cause. Just imagine, this could have easily been one of us. We are blessed to have all of life's luxuries easily accessible to us.
But water? Water should not be a luxury! Water is the basic right for every human being. So lets work together and create a movement! In the name of every thirsty child in the world. In the name of every child that has had to walk miles to fetch water. In the name of the parents that stood helplessly watching their children pass away right in front of their eyes, and in the name of every living being on this planet, ACCESS TO WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT! It is our responsibility to provide help and relief to those who are suffering. As a great man once said, "A person is either your brother in faith, OR your brother in humanity." Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib
