Water Bottle Challenge

Maybe you've heard of the 1 second water bottle challenge. Take a regular water bottle, hold it to your lips, push the bottom, and try to drink the whole bottle in 1 second. Can you do it?

Did you think about the water you just drank, where it came from, how easily you got it? Probably not, and that's okay, but for many children in Africa, that's what they spend hours thinking about.

Nearly 1 billion people in the world don't have access to clean drinking water. Many spend all day searching for it, and when they do find it, it's dirty and full of water-borne diseases. But it doesn't have to be this way. The Water Project provides access to clean, safe and reliable water across sub-Saharan Africa. They work with local communities to build water wells and rain catchment systems.
