These two girls, and a couple of their Girl Scout friends, recently decided to get involved and make a difference.
They took what they had learned about the water crisis and told that story to hundreds of people! We were very excited and inspired by this note we received from them recently…
At the International Day Celebration for Girl Scouts in New York, our Junior Troop performed a skit on stage in front of over 200 Girl Scouts and their families. They highlighted the need for clean water in Africa and invited everyone in the room to “Take the Water Challenge“. We invited them to our booth on Uganda where we showed how children in Uganda & Africa have to walk for miles each day carrying the water they need for their family’s survival. We then invited them to join us for the next 2 weeks in giving up all other beverages but water so we can help build a well in Africa.
We handed out 132 bracelets today!!
These Girl Scouts used their time and talent to get others involved. Without even asking for a dime, they are sure to make a huge impact in countries like Kenya that suffer from a lack of access to clean water.
Thanks Girls!!!
