A Year Later: Fetching Water is Easier!

Sylvanus, 18, recalled what life was like in the Tulun Community before his community's new well was implemented last year.

"We faced a lot of constraints before the completion of this water point. It was not easy, and we walked a long distance to fetch water," said Sylvanus.

Collecting water is much easier now for Sylvanus and the other community members in Tulun.

"It is easy for me to fetch water within the community because the water point is close to our house," continued Sylvanus.

Having ready access to water from the well has made a difference for Sylvanus, allowing him to regain time for studying.

"[I] have been able to go to school on time, and I have enough time to study and do my homework on time," concluded Sylvanus.

Sylvanus using a tippy tap handwashing station was made possible because of the well's water supply.
