A Year Later: Luyingo Spring Brings Better Health!

"Since the completion of this water point, it is easy and enjoyable to fetch water. Because of the pipe, the process of fetching water is easy and no time is wasted at the water point," said William J., 15.

He continued, "This water point has really helped me because I have clean and safe water for drinking and my health has improved. In my studies, I now have enough time [to] revise (study). The time that was wasted at the spring is now recovered in [my] books and my performance has improved."

Faith Malovi, 35, a farmer, is also enjoying the benefit of improved health. "Because of having clean and safe water for drinking, we are free from waterborne diseases, thus reducing medical expenses and the community is healthy."
