It's my 16th birthday in December and I really don't want or need anything this year. I'm having a birthday party but I don't want gifts so I decided instead I could put the money that would used towards presents and use it to help people who really need it. I've heard about The Water Project at a conference I've gone to before and I decided that I take advantage of getting special things for my birthday when kids in Africa don't even get water daily.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
