While our graph above appears to show that no money has been raised, in reality EPWORTH UMC already has in hand a little more than $4,457.00 towards our goal of $8500.00. That means we are over half-way there. You may help us by donating online directly to The Water Project or submit your dontations through Epworth United Methodist Church in our weekly offerings. How ever you choose to give, your donations will bring the gift of clean water and a healthier community when the well is completed. We thank you for your assistance.
And remember, you can turn on your faucet, hold a clean glass under the running stream and like magic, you have clean, healthy water for you and your family. We live in a wonderful country where even the poorest among us have access to clean water. Others are not so fortunate. The water they need to live is sometimes miles from where they live and has to be carried back to their town or village. And the water they use is not clear, clean, or fresh. Our "gray water," the water that comes from our washing machines, is cleaner than they water with which they have to clean and cook.
We've seen the videos. We've sponsored mission teams to go into these countries and we have seen the water these on which these proud people subsist. And we want to help them have what we take for granted: clean, living water. Please help us. $8500 is all it takes to drill a bore hole, install a hand pump and bring disease-free, clear, clean water to those who are in desperate need. Right now we have a little more than $4,400.00 in hand. All we need to build a well that will bring water to a community in Africa is another $4100.00. A donation of any size is helpful. Jesus said, "I was thirsty and you gave me water to drink." "Lord, when were you thirsty and when did we give you water?" Right here. Right now. Thirsty people thousands of miles away are waiting.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
