Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.

Will you help us give a clean glass of water to a thirsty child? Through our small group study of "The Hole in Our Gospel" by Richard Stearns, it was confirmed in our group that we need to do something more than just read about it. Our group’s mission is to bring clean water to a village on the other side of the world by entirely funding a well with The Water Project.

The need is today - not a problem to be thought about tomorrow. Can a glass of water wait to someone dying of thirst? It is hard to minister to a spiritual need when there is such great physical need - clean water. Think about this: you are so thirsty you can't swallow; your clothes are rotting because you can't get them clean; your mother is sick because of the dirty water she had to use to cook a meager dinner. This is your everyday life. What hope is there in that? So what do we do for the sick and the dying? Do we tell them "I'll say a prayer for you" and walk away leaving them sick and thirsty? No! We must minister to the physical need first.

Our example is of Jesus and how He demonstrated His love and compassion to the poor on all occasions. He tells us that what we do for the "least of these" we have done for Him (Matthew 25:40). The Bible says that we are to look after the widows and orphans in their distress (James 1:27) and our greatest commandment is to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31).

If we are doing none of this, then we are failing. In fact, we have failed. But, with our efforts, together this well will be an answer to many prayers and help save innocent lives that just need a drink of water. Will you help us provide a clean glass of water to a thirsty child?

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
