Water is Flowing at the Eburenga School

The new well project started a few weeks ago at the Eburenga school
in Western Kenya is now complete.  There is clean and safe water now
flowing to hundreds of students and the surrounding community.

Update 8/27/2010 - This well is currently under repair to replace a sub-standard well pump.  Number served will be tracked on the new project page.

Project Type

A borehole well reaches clean water stored deep underground. We drill down through soil and rock to groundwater that natural layers have already filtered, then build a platform and fit a handpump so families can draw water up close to home. It is a safe, protected source that replaces long walks to open water, and with your partnership it is cared for long after it is installed.
